1.
through the ghost of rain I thought I heard your fingers tapping on my tent are your hands closed to wind or are they open holding clay evening sun coming down melting like a coin on top of the tree line my heart like that sun cooling under moonlight steam rising where it was my hands have lost all their feeling but my feet still go up the hill when you fucked up worse than you ever have before how do you wake up in the morning and sit still?
2.
the falling rain no longer puts my face in your head and I no longer can put your dreams into my songs one night you were sleeping and in your sleep you said “something’s wrong here, something’s wrong” I spend all my time thinking of how to build something out of something that had been sleeping with a hammer on wooden window sills dreaming angles and support beams in our skin my hands have lost all their feeling but my feet still go up the hill when you fucked up worse than you ever have before how do you wake up in the morning and sit still?
3.
honey song 01:59
there’s no honey in my hands sweet enough to hold it just falls away like time your body on my body feels like a lightning bolt running through my head and down into my spine
4.
book song 01:12
all the books that I should have read lying like bloody leaves all across my bed going over it in my head all the worlds I left closed but yours closed instead
5.
when it breaks let me hide my face in this rage feet apart but a mountain standing here in this space they said I feel just like a bear in this state lashing out but the gift in this child of grief, never raised if I could turn the source back on in me in this desert plain I could be an ocean so big I could drown everything
